Couples Therapy
Maybe you've found yourselves having the same argument over and over. Maybe conversations escalate quickly, end in silence, or leave one or both of you feeling hurt, frustrated, or alone. What once felt easy now feels exhausting. Or, maybe you’ve asked yourself, “Are we just too different in this (insert opposite trait here) to function well together?” Even when there's still love, it can be difficult to find your way back to each other, or know where to go from here.
Couples therapy is like having a third eye into your relationship. You can step out of the cycle and better understand what's happening under all the conflict. Together, we'll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, learn how to communicate more effectively, and create new ways of responding to one another. You get to be on the same team again.
Imagine feeling like you've found your way back to one another. Conversations feel easier and conflict no longer feels threatening. You feel seen, supported, and understood by the person who knows you best. Rather than wondering if you're too different, you begin to appreciate the strengths each of you brings to the relationship.
Usually the love is there, we just need to clear some space for it.
Couples work is especially meaningful to me because I've experienced the difference a healthy relationship can make. My husband and I have been together for nearly two decades, and like most couples, we've navigated challenges along the way.
Through our own growth together, I've come to appreciate just how much our relationships shape our experience of life. I can’t think of a single thing that influences our quality of life as much as a partnership. When it feels disconnected or strained vs. when it feels secure and supportive are two very different experiences of life.
This is the heart of why I do this work. Helping couples create more understanding, trust, and connection is one of the most rewarding parts of this job. I also feel grateful to be able to offer others something I’ve experienced myself—a relationship that becomes a source of strength and joy.
